Upcycled side table - full proceeds going to charity

This cute little pine side table is much more than an upcycled piece of furniture.

Quite recently I was honoured to be invited to a local specialist college to teach young adults with learning disabilities how to upcycle furniture.

Thls pine table is the piece of furniture that I took along with me to show the students step by step how to prepare and paint furniture professionally.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the college and the students enthusiasm and enjoyment really made it a perfect day.

Therefore I have decided that all proceeds from the sale of this little table will be donated to the Construction workshop at Hereward college in Coventry to enable the students to purchase much needed supplies to complete their projects.

Hereward college is all about preparing young adults with a learning disability to learn skills that will enable them to apply for jobs after they leave college.

I have painted this table in a lovely dark teal colour and applied a pretty flour bouquet furniture transfer. This has then been finished with several layers of furniture varnish.

Condition:

Our vintage furniture is carefully chosen to give you a truly original piece for your home. You may find slight imperfections in keeping with the age of this piece.

Aftercare:

Your new furniture has been sealed with a water-based top coat to protect the surfaces from wear and tear, however accidents do happen so we provide a repair kit complete with pot of paint, paintbrush and instructions. Your furniture only needs a gentle wipe over or dust with a micro-fiber cloth from time to time to keep it looking fresh.

Colour:

If you are unsure about the colour of any of our pieces we will happily send out a painted sample stick so you can see the colour against your existing decor.

Caring for our Heritage and our environment:

A great deal of care and attention goes into every piece. As a result our furniture is ready to create new memories in your home, from the careful choice of pieces to the finishing touches.

Choosing to invest in vintage furniture is excellent for the environment and creates a unique and stylish interior.

Jo and Paul at the Crafty Colletts strive to honor the history and character of our pieces by restoring sympathetically and in keeping with the era.
